Abstract

The purpose of this survey was to determine the hardness of dental amalgam fillings taught at the Dental School, Seoul National University.
Dental students for the year of 1965 were tested the hardness by the Rockwell.Hardness Tester.
From the experiments, the following results were obtained.
1) The overall hardness values of amalgam filling reached at its maximum hardness from R. H. N. 91 to R. H. N. 100.
2) The proper manipulation of dental amalgam did cause a signifiicant favour in hardness of the amalgam filling body.
